Its a known fact that Noosa sucks when it come to surf in november not only is there no surf the wind is onshore most of the time so iv left my log at home and pumped up the kite. Iv been kitesurfing for a few years now because i got sick of the n/e wind that you cant seem to hind from this time of year . When you think of noosa not many people think of kitesurfing but we have one of the best setups for it and have some of the best the sport has to offer. Iv also been flying remote control gliders at sunrise beach when the wind was to light to kite. Im only learning and just about always find myself walking thru the bush looking for the dam thing after my friend Keahi knocks me out of the sky.
My dad and i are off to Sydney tomorrow for 2 days for the Foam Symmetry launch at the Sugarmill tomorrow night and friday we will end up at Deus in Camperdown for some lunch so ill pack a camera for the lil adventure.

China Has Surf

Ok so a few months back i got an email from the ASP and was invited to the Swatch Girls Pro in China for a noserider demo / contest. I had always wanted to go to China so i jumped at the chance but didn't really know about surf there. well turns out the place has surf. We had the contest on this left point setup and it was head high on some with so many great heats the girls kicked ass and Chelsea Williams ended up winning the contest and Lindsay Engle was crowned ASP world longboard champ. When it was time for the noserider the wind was light off shore. I got knocked in the semi by Cwach and Harry but it was a close heat and i'm stoked to have had a perfect left point with just my self and 2 of my best friends. After the contest was done we had a bunch of party's and adventures with memories that will last a life time. To the ASP and SWATCH thank you for everything.

We finished our America trip with the last few days spent in Dana point hanging out with my friend Noah . the surf was small so we ended up bodysurfing salt creek. we are back home now in beautiful Noosa . I still think Noosa is the best place on earth.

So Over the last few days we have been from Bryce canyon to Grand canyon to Vegas and now back to cali. By now I'm sick of driving and only want to surf so we are in Dana point for a few days before we fly out on Friday and back to work on Monday .

Last time I checked in was around Nevada seems the only thing Nevada has is dirt and casino's oh and Virginia City that was fun hangin back in 1867 then we hit the road and headed north to Yellowstone N.P for a few days of watching the gysers and the buffalo roam the valleys . I tried to find some grizzly bears and wolfs but they didn't want to come out and play. After a few days in Yellowstone it was time to start heading south thru the Grand Tetons and onto Jackson where I got to watch a moose . Tomorrow we are going leave wyoming to make our way to Bryce Canyon.

As we crossed the Golden gate bridge we said good bye to the ocean and set our compass east to the mountains and plains of America. Iv been to Yosemite a few times before and loved the place so we checked in at the upper pines camp grounds in Yosemite vally.

Today was a slow day in the surf department so I decided to take mum and dad into Hollywood to get hassled by bums and tour operators. We had lunch at the hard rock cafe and had some awesome burgers and ended up taking a tour of the area as I got sick of driving.

The msa classic was on again and it was a fun 3 day contest. The waves were small but still fun . Congratulations to Yuta for winning the under 39's I got 3rd in the under 39's and 3rd in the open short board. it was a good contest and a great chance to meet the deus u.s.a crew. I can't wait to come back and see the new store when it opens in a few months in Venice.

OHHH K its set to be a crazy next few months with a cali trip that starts on wednesday next week for the MSA contest at Malibu and some RV action to Yellowstone then im back home for a week then off to China with the ASP for a noseriding expression session/contest.The past week i spent at Deus Bali where Tom and Jake from Thomas surfboards put together an epic log for myself and a bunch of boards for the Deus stores. It was such a fun week with great people , food , motorcycles and surf.

Its been weeks since iv updated the blog so i have a few mins to share what iv been upto..
in the past weeks iv been spending time following the waves between sano and malibu and its been great.Last weekend we had one of the bigest swells in years so i headed to malibu for some fun on my quadfish. The following day i headed south to watch the waves at the wegde at newport and take a bunch of photos and video. The day before a man died bodysurfing the wedge so there was only a handfull of people out testing there skills on the most crazy waves iv ever seen. i have posted a few photos from the adventures iv had so far.
